My adventure holiday

the story that you are going to read, is REAL!

In the holidays mum, dad and kristian took me to Christchurch (in the storm) to see Aunty Rhonda and go to Dunedin to see my Nana and granddad for a week. The next day, me and Aunty Rhonda tried to get from christchurch to Dunedin in one day. But we got stuck in Oamaru because the road was closed! OH NO! lucky granddad saved the day, by booking a place to stay for the night. YAY! It was kind of like harry potter’s room(a cupboard under the stars) inside another room. The next day, the road was open with caution. so we could drive but slow:) A few minutes later, we got to Dunedin. YAY! here are some of the things I did, spent some time with Aunty Lynda, Uncle Gary, Sam and Ben, went to the Lego day at the Meridian Mall, Went to see the Lego movie - EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!, Went to the spider park, Went to the$2 n’ $5 shop and bought a toy gun called an AK-47. after a week, Nana and Granddad drooped me of in Oamaru so my mum and dad could pick me up and take me back home. I had fun in the holidays.

main star flow chart for carrots

I chose to do a flow chart about carrots. I know that carrots start out as seeds and grow in the garden. Last year for a main star activity I grew carrots - they didn't grow very well for me though and we fed them to the reindeers on Christmas Eve!

I wrote to my Uncle Mike. He lives in Woodend which is near Christchurch. He has two children named Tyla and Riley. Tyla is turning 10 in the Easter holidays and Riley will be 4 this year. I like spending time with Uncle Mike and Aunty Melissa. We go camping together at Christmas time. They have a BIG boat that we sometimes go on to ride the biscuit, knee board and they go wakeboarding.

Main star obstacle course

This is my obstacle course. I started in the back yard. First I had to jump over the stool, then run to the basketball hoop and shoot the ball in the hoop. Then I had to climb over the tall fence and get down and onto my scooter and go along the path. At the next fence I had to jump over it and run along the footpath and round the gate. Then I had to zigzag around the cones and then go back and run along the driveway beside the house, go through the gate and tackle the tackle bag!

The results are:
Mackenzie's 1st run = 39 seconds
Kristian's 1st run = 46 seconds
Mackenzie's 2nd run = 38 seconds
Kristian's 2nd run = 44 seconds

So it means the winner was me, but we both got faster on the second trial.

PS - there is no video because it started raining as we were running!

Main star - helping hands

I went to Miss Komen's house because I had asked her if she had any jobs that I could help with.
First I brought in the rubbish bin after it had been emptied. When I was out at the gate, I collected the mail too. After that we went inside and threw all the paper that Miss Komen didn't want in the fire - I was careful :) I also went to Miss Whyte's house and helped with the vacuuming. I had a lot of fun helping people out! :)
